Zach, as a retired Cardiologist, I can tell your main problem was bad medical advice. The cornerstone of high blood pressure treatment is diuretic therapy (water pills), even if you were not retaining fluids, which you were. The extra water should have been a red flag to every doctor you saw that you needed a diuretic. With that said, there is not a good reason why you have to take a water pill at night and be up for hours peeing. The morning makes sense. It does not matter what time of day you pee and lose the water. It will help you blood pressure and excess fluid just as well. I see you wrote this five months ago. I hope you are still better.
