Imagine my surprise when at 0645 this morning I read your post. My wife and I are going through this same process now. Same house for 19 years, kids all gone, too much crap that no one wants, etc. Homes in our neighborhood are so expensive that lots are around $1M or more. My knres remind me of the need for a one story house and no pool and more room for gardening. You are correct. No one, including Goodwill or the Salvation Army wants your stuff anymore.
