I would dispute this and don't think VOX is an unbiased source of information. As a retired cardiologist who practiced over 30 years in Florida, I saw more than a handful of Canadian "snow birds" who became ill, were denied care by their home country and chose to have their cardiac procedures here. One famous case was the head of a province, I think Nova Scotia, who actually chose to come here for heart surgery rather than wait in Canada.
