I have normal blood pressure sitting, However, whenever I am at a doctors’s office where they measure my blood pressure with a wrist cuff it is borderline high. These cuffs, although convenient to the staff are not accurate. The arteries in the wrist are smaller than in the upper arm and therefore peripheral vascular resistance (PVR) is higher. And when PVR is higher your BP is higher too. This practice should e abandoned.
