China uses ~50% all the world’s coal while the US is at 8.5% (source: www,worldmeter,com). And China is still building coal plants. So what good is it to force our country to be less competitive economically when we share the same air? I am not saying that converting to cleaner energy isn’t good for the climate. But absurd treaties like the Paris accord would do little to nothing to enforce China and India to stop using coal while making the US pay other countries to stop it as well This makes no sense either economically or for the climate.
