Cell phones yes, however, smartphones ( more distracting and addictive) were not relapsed until 2007 and tablets in 2010. Anyway, my interpretation of the chart shows little trends; there are lots of ups and downs. However peaks were reached in 2018 and 2019 and then precipitously dropped in 2020-2021. This drop most likely related to the pandemic with less driving due to work at home and at home schooling, as it started to rise again in 2022. My point was parents are more distracted then we (Boomers) were when raising our kids. I blame this on technology.
