A Cook, a Farmer, and an Epidemiologist Walk into a Bar…

Everyone’s job is important now, no matter what they do.

A cook, a farmer and an epidemiologist walk into a bar in 2021. The bartender turns to the cook and says , “Before I take your order, tell me what you did last year during the pandemic.” To which the cook says, I cooked for my family everyday and kept my restaurant open for delivery and takeouts.” The bartender says, “Great. You can have a double of anything. It’s on me.” Next he turns to the farmer and asks the same question. The farmer replies “I worked 80 hours a week to grow and deliver fruits and vegetables to the cook.” The bartender says, “Wonderful. Order any double. It’s on me.”

Finally he turns to the epidemiologist and asks the same question. The professor just smiled and says, “I saved the other two guys and your life.” The bartender yells to the crowd, “Drinks are on the house!”
